The seizure is a major breakthrough in the war against petroleum vandalism and illegal trading of the product.
At the headquarters of the NSCDC in Lagos, where the impounded truck is currently being kept, the Lagos State Commandant of the security agency, Mr Clement Adesuyi, said that the sack used in the illegal business was a new innovation that the agency had discovered.
The petroleum product was poured into nylon bags, well tied to guard against leakages and stacked into sacks.
"It is zero tolerance for vandalism in 2014. The command will work hard to ensure that vandals were apprehended.
He said the military gave the NSCDC full back-up.
"We will apprehend whoever the owner of the truck is. We have some documents to trace the owner," Mr Adesuyi said.
He called for the cooperation of Lagos State residents, as the security agency worked towards riding the industry of vandals.
