Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would not be drawn on whether he plans to
make a move for a new striker in January, despite losing Nicklas
Bendtner for "weeks" with an ankle injury.
The Denmark international opened the scoring late on in Arsenal's victory over Cardiff City on New Year's Day before Theo Walcott added a second.
But Bendtner, a second half substitute for the recently recovered Lukas Podolski, was injured while scoring the goal.
"He's gone through a lot so I want to give him great credit," Arsene Wenger told reporters.
"Unfortunately he got injured, it could be not [a] question of days but weeks. I'm sad for him.
