Dr. Reuben Abati, President Goodluck Jonathan’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity this morning lambasted former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his recent letter to President Goodluck Jonathan on the state of affairs of the nation, describing Obasanjo as a ‘Headmaster’ trying to treat Nigerians like ‘pupils’
Abati spoke this morning on Yoruba live programme on Faaji 106.5 FM, Lagos tagged ‘Oyela’. He frowned at Obasanjo’s unwarranted incessant meddling into the government and governance of President Goodluck Jonathan administration. Saying such interferences is becoming self-serving and not to the best interest of Nigerians
On the issue of the purported letter written by Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, Abati said such issues is purely family issue that does not in any way concern the government. Abati however dismissed some media reports that the letter was written by a President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide. He said Iyabo is matured enough to disclaim such letter if not written by her, beside, the media house where the letter emanated claimed they have called Iyabo and she did not disclaim the letter.
President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday replied former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the later’s letter written to him on the affairs of the nation
