Rumour has it that attempt by Minister of Power Prof. Barth Nnaji to buy two of PHCN's Generation Companies for himself may have led to his sack by President Jonathan.
Prof Nnaji has substantial shares in Geometric Power one of the companies bidding for purchase of PHCN's Afam Power Station and Enugu Distribution Company.
Presidency got wind of the development that the Minister had through back door sold the companies to himself.
Nigeria is a regional power in West Africa and yet cannot boast of 5000MW for her population of over 150 million people. High level corruption has eaten deep into governance which led to infrastructural decay over the years. Poverty is at its highest level as over 70% of the population are impoverished.
Nigerians are looking up to President Jonathan to deliver on dividends of democracy and to rid the society of corruption.
