President Goodluck Jonathan conveys sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of late Justice Victor Ovie-Whiskey who died yesterday.
Recalling late Justice Ovie-Whiskey's enormous contributions to the nation as a judge and Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission, President Jonathan urges his family to take solace in the knowledge that the late Judge lived a very fulfilled life and left a worthy legacy of commendable service to the nation.
The President believes that the record of Justice Ovie-Whiskey's upright and conscientious management of Nigeria's electoral process in very challenging times will stand to his eternal credit in the nation's history.
He joins the late jurist's family, friends and associates in praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
The President has also written to condole Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on the death of his mother, Alhaja Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi.
In the letter to the Governor, President Jonathan urged him and members of his family to be consoled by Alhaja Ajimobi's fulfilled life of service as a prominent trader, community leader and devout Muslim.
He prayed that God Almighty will grant Alhaja Ajimobi's soul eternal rest.
