Today at 3pm at a press conference at the Press Gallery of the
Presidential Villa, Abuja, Chairman of the Presidential Committee
probing the Oil subsidy regime, Access Bank Managing Director and Chief
Executive Officer, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, sensationally revealed
that only 21 companies laid off with about 321 billion Naira in
inappropriate and sometimes illegal deals. The companies have been
identified and recommendations for the prosecution of the promoters of
these companies have been made to the President according to Mr. Aigboje
Aig-Imoukhuede.
In a question and answer session with journalist who attended the press briefing, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede was asked what other recommendations his committee made to which he responded that they had predictably recommended full scale deregulation to the President.
The press briefing ended at about 3:20pm when Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede was led away by Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati after talking with news men.
