President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has written to congratulate Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary, today September 17, 2012.
In
the letter conveying birthday greetings to the former Governor and
Federal Minister, President Jonathan praised his “enduring patriotism,
courage, productive leadership and uncommon administrative acumen”.
“I
write on behalf of my family, the Government and people of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria to express warm felicitations to you on the occasion
of your landmark 80th birthday.
“Your
enduring patriotism, courage, productive leadership and uncommon
administrative acumen over the years have earned you a prestigious place
of honour in the annals of our national development history.
“Decades
after you left active office, your astounding achievements as Governor
and Federal Minister continue to be acknowledged with reverence and
nostalgia. It is a testimony to your abiding faith in Nigeria that you
continue to willingly give of yourself in the service of our Fatherland,
and avail the younger generation of your wise counsel,” the President
wrote.
Wishing
Dr. Ogbemudia a very happy birthday, President Jonathan prayed that God
will bless him with continued robust health and many more years of
worthy service to the nation and humanity.
