Attah Igala Goes Home As Jonathan, Others Pay Tribute

"President Goodluck Jonathan has extolled the virtues of the Attah of
Igala, saying his exemplary life and laudable contributions to the
development of his community and the entire nation should be
acknowledged in the eternal clime.


Special adviser to the president on media and publicity Dr. Reuben
Abati, in a statement, noted that Jonathan, in commiserating with the
government and people of Kogi State on the death of the royal father,
extended his sincere condolences to the late Attah Igala's family and
the people of Igala Kingdom, on behalf of himself, the federal
government and all Nigerians.
The statement made available to LEADERSHIP reads in part: "As they
mourn the late Dr. Obaje, President Jonathan urges his family, the
people of Igala Kingdom and Kogi State to give thanks to God Almighty
for blessing the revered traditional ruler with uncommon longevity as
well as a lengthy and successful reign"
