Okupe's Appointment does not threaten my Job - Reuben Abati

The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Media, Dr. Reuben Abati, has said that the appointment of Dr. Doyin Okupe as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs does not in any way threaten his job.
Rather, Abati said Okupe's appointment is to complement his job as the former SA Media to former President Olusegun Obasanjo is bringing a lot of experience to the job.
Abati, who spoke on Tuesday at the presentation of Okupe to the media, said the rumour in the last few weeks of a friction in the Presidential Villa was untrue, adding that Okupe's appointment is to shore up Jonathan's information management.
